From KL, for Malaysian organisations
Fikir Systems was founded in 2019 by a small group of data professionals who had spent years watching AI projects stall — not because the technology was unsuitable, but because the engagement model was wrong. Vendors would arrive, install something complex, and leave. Teams were expected to adapt overnight.
We set out to work differently. Our engagements begin with listening. We study how your teams actually work, what data you already have, and what decisions are genuinely difficult. From there, we scope something realistic — a model, a system, a structured approach — that your people can understand and sustain.
Today, Fikir Systems works across financial services, manufacturing, education, and professional services sectors throughout the Klang Valley and beyond. We remain a small, focused practice by design — each engagement receives careful, personal attention from our senior consultants.

All client data is handled under signed data processing agreements. We operate in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and maintain data minimisation practices throughout each engagement.

We document our model development choices, assumptions, and limitations in plain language so your team understands what we've built and why — not just how to use it.
Team-Centred Design
Every output — model, learning path, or ticketing system — is designed around the people who'll use it daily. We run practical sessions with end users, not just project sponsors.
Defined Scope
Each engagement is delivered against a written scope document agreed before work begins. We don't expand scope without explicit discussion and agreement.
Iterative Review
We build in structured review points throughout each project. If priorities shift or data reveals something unexpected, we adapt the approach together rather than continuing down an unhelpful path.

We are headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and work primarily across the Klang Valley, with periodic engagements in Penang, Johor Bahru, and other commercial centres. All engagements are conducted in English, with Bahasa Malaysia communication accommodated where preferred.
